Chalkboard Bubbles

I saw this cute idea awhile ago on a blog that I cant remember, and completely forgot about it since.
But when I was watching Studio 5 the other day I was so excited to be reminded of this cute idea. The idea i loved was for first day of school pictures, but it would even be cute for birthday pics, to write the age and even the month for the little tykes.

I'm going there someday!

When I saw these for the first time, I fell in LOVE! I was thinking that they would be perfect for a Young Women's activity or something similar to that...

They are on Lil' Luna, which I think is one of the cutest and one of my most favorite sites to look at. If you haven't yet, you need to check it out and do it often! LOVE IT!

She wanted to allow people to make these, so on her site she has a lot of the different Temples that people sent to her, so hopefully whichever Temple it is that you and your girls are hoping to go to she will probably have. Its the best idea and inexpensive too!

SUPPLIES:-Wood - 4.75 x 7 inches (1.5 in. thick)
-Paint
-Sand Paper
-Temple Pic
-Mod Podge
-Rubbon & Tulle

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cut wood piece to 4.75 in. x 7 in. and paint.

2. When dry sand edges to distress.

3. Print out pic to 4x6 size on computer or take to Kinkos and have it laser printed for a better quality pic.

4. Mod Podge pic onto block centering a little more to the left.

5. Tie ribbon tulle on the right side.

Activity Books

I have found a lot of really fun activity books/quiet books! They all look so cute and I cant wait for Bladen to be big enough to enjoy them!

Dry Erase Activity Book
Somewhat Simple

These are just a FEW of the examples, there are tons of pages and pictures to print off from the link. All it takes to make this is buying a photo book and printing these awesome pages off. Pretty simple!

Quiet Book
Homemade by Jill

This one is more like the ones I remember playing with when I was a little girl. The ones made of felt, where each little piece is cut out and you arrange them on the page where they belong. This one is a little more time consuming, but so much fun.

This site that I found after I started all of this... Does basically what my plan was, to show bits and pieces of various books so you can find what ideas you like best and mix and match to make your perfect book.
Sassy Sites
It has a lot of the ones I already have, but many more. Your kids will be so entertained with all of these ideas that they should never make another peep again....

Styrofoam Wall?

Yep you read it right. I had this wall upstairs and I needed something BIG to fill it up and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I just sorta liked so I made a filler until I find something I love. It was so easy. I couldn't find paper that I LOVED but this worked... You get 12 x 12 scrapbook paper, Styrofoam sheets (also 12 x 12, I bought a 12 x 36 and cut it) and enough ribbon to wrap around each one. Glue... well I read to use spray glue, not the best idea it eats the Styrofoam so I re-did most of them with a glue stick and it worked much better. This is where I got the idea, I really loved the coffee filter wall art too... I am considering doing it above my bed. Just a side note... mine didn't cost $5.00. I got the Styrofoam sheets at Roberts and they were $5 or $6 dollars and I had to buy 3. But I never checked the dollar store. When you don't live by these stores it makes it hard to hit up all the places you need to.
Me and Jill have been crafting, well she has been trying to get me to craft so I've joined the fun. We made these balls out of coffee filters, they are alot like Maci's rose balls but not, and I'm sure alot less time involved! I dont know where Jill got the idea for these balls from, but we used wiffle balls and hot glued them in the holes. We put a pencil eraser in the middle of the filter and shoved it in the hole. Then you spray paint them. I've seen them done just on Styrofoam balls and pinned in, this makes a much fuller look (here).

We also found these on a blog and loved them. We were originally going to do a bat or something 'Halloween' but then we decided we wanted something we could leave up the whole season so we went with the crow. I think they are sooo cute and the only cost... $1.00!!! Go HERE. We used black paint... well we first used brown and it looked like blood so we went over it with black and it looked much better. We also don't own a Cricut so we just found a silhouette that was easy to cut and printed it offline.
